Young Professionals

The AGBU Young Professionals (YP) is a global network of groups and supporters around the world that promote the Armenian identity and heritage for young Armenians between the ages of 22 to 40. Thanks to its open-door policy, the network has quickly grown into the largest Armenian network of its kind today with a worldwide reputation for fostering a sense of community, belonging and purpose among diverse participants.

The first YP group was formed in 1995 in Los Angeles. Since then, the network has expanded to 33 groups including Amsterdam, Arizona, Athens, Austria, Belgium, Boston, Brazil, Buenos Aires, Chicago, Copenhagen, Cyprus, Detroit, Greater New YorkHouston, Lebanon, London, Los Angeles, Lyon Rhône- Alpes, Luxembourg, Marseille, Montréal, Moscow, Northern California, Paris, Philadelphia, PlovdivSofia, Switzerland, Toronto, Washington, DC,  Yerevan. It also enjoys partnerships with organizations HAIK in Frankfurt and UTI in Istanbul.

For over two decades, the AGBU YP network has empowered ambitious and civic-minded individuals and socially responsible groups to make a positive difference in their communities and the world while reflecting the core values of AGBU. Since its inception, the network has raised over $600,000 for worthy local and global AGBU programs, projects and special initiatives.

Engaging thousands of YPs worldwide, the YP network:

  • Activates the next generation of Armenian leaders
  • Encourages young people to invest in themselves, their communities and homeland
  • Creates a channel for diverse talents to collaborate and contribute to impactful initiatives.
  • Involves mentors, fundraisers and supporters to help elevate the potential of fellow Armenians.
  • Facilitates close working relationships with AGBU districts, chapters, and schools
  • Invites participation in signature AGBU and YP events, such as the General Assembly,  FOCUS, San Francisco Winter Gala, the World Games and Regional YP Summits.
