AGBU Europe is pleased to help promote the 24th edition of the Euro Armenian Games (EAG) which will be held in London in 2020. Organized by The Armenian Youth Association of London (AYA London) and PAG London, the Games will take place over the Easter Weekend, from April 10 to 13, 2020.
The main objective of the EAG is to bring all the Diaspora Armenian athletes of the various European communities and organizations, regardless of their political and religious belongings, to an annual sports event. By bringing together the Armenian athletes through sports, the EAG are also a way to help Diaspora Armenians maintain or create social bonds as well as a way to strengthen the cooperation between the various Armenian organizations and entities. It contributes overall to the preservation of the Armenian identity and heritage, and provides an opportunity for celebration.
Team sports – futsal, basketball, volleyball – as well as individual sports – table tennis, badminton, chess and backgammon – will take place at the tournament. New to the London edition: 7 a-side football.
The participation fee is £ 380. It includes 3 hotel nights, breakfast, lunch and dinner, entry fee for the tournament as well as evening parties on Saturday and Sunday.
