AGBU YP-Plovdiv organizes a charity evening in support of the Malvina Manukyan Theater School

On December 1, 2017, AGBU YP-Plovdiv organized the traditional annual evening dedicated to the International Student Day and the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations. The main organizers of the event were YP-Plovdiv Chairman Haik Garabedian along with YP-board members Verzin Hugasyan and Nashan Derkalestinyan.

After the welcoming speech given by YP-Plovdiv Chairman Haik Garabedian, Father Hrac Muradian, spiritual father of the Armenians in Plovdiv, opened the evening with a blessing. The Armenian vocal ensemble “SIREN” performed at the gathering, followed by a professional DJ set. World famous opera singer Ivaylo Mihaylov, who is also a honorary member of AGBU Sofia, also attended the evening and contributed to the festive mood. Among the guests who attended the evening were internationally acclaimed opera singer Ivaylo Mihaylov, Mr. Arno Kuyumdzhiyan – Chairman of AGBU Sofia, Ms. Gronika Kavafian – AGBU Board Member, Mr. Angel Angelov – Municipal Councilor and former Deputy Mayor of the North Region of the city of Plovdiv, Mr. Arthur Hovanisyan, chairman of the “Union of Armenians in Europe”, Bulgaria branch, as well as the leaders of the organization “Miasin.”

A charity raffle took place during the gathering. The funds raised were dedicated to the young talents of “Malvina Manukyan” Theater School. AGBU YP-Plovdiv expresses its gratitude to the Armenian vocal ensemble “SIREN” for their performance, to the restaurant “Unico” for hosting the event and to the generous donors of the raffle: “Agi-1” Ltd., “Garo M” Ltd., “The Union of Armenians in Europe”, the organization “Miasin” and the Chairman of AGBU Sofia – Mr. Arno Kuyumdjiyan.
