On Saturday 8th of March 2014, the members of the Armenian Cultural Association of Barcelona and the Saturday school staff in Hay Tun (Armenian House) welcomed the Minister of the Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, Mrs. Hranush Hakobyan. Mr. Khoren Terterian,Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Armenia in the Kingdom of Spain, accompanied the Minister. She visited each classroom, met with students and teachers and looked at the schoolbooks. She also met with the members of the Association. The students of the weekly school presented a cultural program for the occasion. In closing, Mrs. Hakobyan thanked the Association for its achievements for the future and whished them good luck for the future.

The same day Mrs. Hranush Hakobyan and Mr. Khoren Terterian also met with representatives of the Armenian Associations of Barcelona and with other members of the Armenian community of Barcelona. Father Sasoon Zmrookhdian, Vicar General for the Pontifical Delegate in Spain and Portugal of Armenian Apostolic Church, was also among the participants. During the meeting, the Minister presented the main goals, the activities and the projects which the Ministry of the Diaspora has been pursuing since its foundation. She also addressed future projects and landmark events for 2014. In closing, Fater Sasoon Zmroukhdian told his distinguished audience of the life of the Armenian Church in Barcelona and of its plans for the future.
