Since its foundation in 2009, the AGBU Europe District Board has adopted as one of its primary goals the advancement of key Armenian issues within the European Union by engaging in continued dialogue with EU decision makers. The EU has a considerable influence on the fate of Armenia, its neighbours and the more than one million Armenians living within its borders, as it conducts policies on civil liberties, fundamental rights and cultural preservation. AGBU Europe aims to inform constituents of EU policies and initiatives that impact the greater Armenian community and thus facilitate their engagement at this higher level of governance.
