Remembering Hrant Dink

Twelve years ago, on January 19, 2007, Hrant Dink, editor-in-chief of the Turkish-Armenian weekly Agos, was shot dead in broad daylight outside his office in Istanbul. He was 52 years old.

As a dedicated and fearless journalist, Hrant Dink was a fervent advocate for human rights and dialogue in Turkey. His courageous stand on controversial issues contributed to opening new frontiers of debate in Turkish society.

Hrant Dink will always be remembered for his ideas, his profound humanity and his impact on the progressive discourse in Turkey.
