Yerevan in the summer does not only attracts tourists. It is also the place where teachers and educators from Armenian schools worldwide visit the capital for training. Each year, the Armenian Virtual College (AVC) takes this time to meet with them and introduce its programs designed for Armenian schools. The first meeting took place within the framework of the Diaspora Ministry’s education program, in collaboration with the Yerevan State University. 60 teachers attended the presentation. Hasmik Khalapyan, Arpine Tavakalyan, Zepur G. Tamerian and Artur Avagyan spoke about the ways technology had transformed the traditional classroom and how AVC programmes could be utilized by schools to update curricula and teaching methodologies.
